    One last question please:
    Does the Beta/RC option include updates for Alpha-Versions? Or is it really “only” for Beta and RC releases as the name indicates?

    It’s only for beta/RC releases.

    Select the “Bleeding edge nightlies” option, the “bleeding edge nightlies” will give nightly updates to the core dev branch identified by WP_CORE_DEV_BRANCH.
